That I'm now kinda, sorta, maybe wishing for rain tomorrow?

It's field day tomorrow.

I just found out it's only going to last until 12:30.

If it rains its postponed until Monday.

Monday is Hayden's talent show but not until 1:00.

If it's postponed I would have a WHOLE day to myself tomorrow.

Yes I would be busy and tired on Monday. But that's Monday and it's so far away as to be unworried about.

Yeah, I'm not gonna lie. Kinda, sorta, maybe wishing for rain tomorrow.

Cards and presents to my Mom? Check!

My kids going with my parents to a baseball game and me having a couple of hours of downtime before going to work and Andy getting my flowers planted? Check!!

This morning

So either Mother's Day weekend is charmed which makes my kids let me sleep in or they have reached the age where they don't feel the need to come in and say "Mommy its 8:30. Mommy its 8:45."

Please let it be the age, please let it be the age!!!

Today

Hayden's field day was cancelled today and rescheduled until Monday due to the weather. Too bad it never rained. It was just hot and humid all day.

Guess what the forecast is for Monday?

40% chance of rain.

Did I mention it was rescheduled "rain or shine"?

The Downward Slide Into Summer

Everything is going on in May!

It's like we're at the top of a hill and all these things are rushing at us as we go sliding down the hill into summer. Teacher appreciation week, field day, more field day, things to do at the school, things to do at home, camps to register for.....you all know what I mean.

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week

This week is Teacher Appreciation Week.

Make sure to let your teachers know how much you appreciate all they do! I can honestly say I don't know if I could do it. I watch both of the girls' teachers in action and I say to myself "Wow, I'm glad that's not me!"

To all my friends who are teachers: You rock! I appreciate that you get up each weekday morning to come in and with patience and love teach a class full of children. You inspire, you educate, you encourage and you love your students. Thank you!
